Rebekah Grohn Counseling
My Approach
I specialize in treating eating disorders, chronic dieting, relationship counseling, body image issues, and other related disorders such as anxiety, depression, and other mood related struggles. My passion is to help others find healing and hope in their journey to recovery. My dedication is to help people enhance and strengthen their relationships with others as I believe having healthy and thriving relationships is an important part of creating a meaningful and purposeful life.
I operate from an empowerment and values-based approach. I believe in using a HAES (Health at Every Size) approach in my sessions as I believe in helping you see the value in your body as it is. I believe in approaching our bodies based on needs and not size. My desire is to empower you to unlock personal strengths to find symptom relief and meet your personal goals. My aim is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment where you feel comfortable expressing yourself to facilitate growth and desired change in your life. Regardless of faith, beliefs, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, relationship status, or other cultural aspects, I desire to provide you with a place to be your authentic self and work through self-defeating thoughts, behaviors, or unpleasant emotions to find true healing and empower yourself to cultivate new coping skills to connect fully with life.

Currently working on completing my Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) Certification.

My Passions
I have a passion for working with those who have struggled with all types of disordered eating/eating disorders, chronic dieting and other eating issues throughout my career. I enjoy working with athletes and those who are having difficulties post weight loss surgery or with a body change. My desire is to help people find their inner strength to help them find appreciation for their bodies in what their body can do for them and how our bodies can be accepted in a multitude of ways. There is not a right way or "perfect" way to recover or to learn to accept ourselves. My passion is to help others find their journey of healing their relationship to food and to their bodies in growing to see themselves in a new way.
My other passion in my work is working with couples and relationship issues. I often find joy in helping others find connection with their partners again or working through difficult seasons. My goal is to provide a safe and open space where couples can explore each other, their relationship to find a stronger connection, and communicate about long-standing and/ or short-term differences.
I strive to provide a safe place for those who are trying to heal from a past traumatic relationship, find love for themselves, and hope for potential relationships.
